What could this be?

Jill and I spent the weekend upstate with her folks this fourth of July weekend. I'm told it was a much smaller bbq/party than years past, but I've gotta say - I think it was just the right crowd. Jay took a trip to Home Depot with me and then we started working on this. I don't want to post any more pictures of it finished, as that would ruin the surprise. Lets just say, after 2 hours of contstruction (thanks Jay!) and about 8 hours of sanding, I'm very pleased. Less than two months till this gets revealed!
