Morgan Says Hello

Hey, looks like I've got the layout about the way I'd like it. We should be able to differentiate between my posts and Jill's now, so that'll make things easier. I get the feeling Jill will be typing more posts than me, but I'm still doing all the background work :D

We both hope this site proves useful to keep people updated and for giving links to important things. If you have any suggestions or further comments, feel free to drop us an email, our addresses are linked on the right.

Cheers,
-Morgan

Jill's First Post

We finally got our wedding blog up and running! Actually, MORGAN got the wedding blog up and running (I just helped pick out the colors). We're hoping to use this site to keep you all abreast of what's happening with our wedding so here goes.

We've chosen Saturday, September 2nd of this year. That seems so close! Fortunately, we’ve got all our vendors booked so now we really just have to pick out our clothes and start sorting out all the fun little details!

The ceremony and reception will take place at the Rensselaerville Institute in Rensselaerville, NY. The name might sound deceiving, but it's actually a beautiful property with a restaurant, breathtaking views and several guesthouses that can accommodate anyone who wishes to stay Friday or Saturday night. They only do eight or nine weddings a year, which was a nice departure from a lot of the other venues we saw. We’re hoping this can be a really special weekend for everyone.

We’ve tried some of their food (which was great), but we’ll be going for a full tasting in April – I can’t wait! If you’d like to get more info check out their website. There are some nice pictures and detailed directions. I should thank my mom’s cousin Gina for recommending it because we never would have found it without her. Thanks, Gina!

We'll get married in an outdoor ceremony and then the reception will be held under a beautiful white tent. We're hoping it doesn't rain but just in case, the tent has sides that come down with pretty French windows so we can still have the party in there. We're trying to figure out what time to have the ceremony (I checked the Farmer’s Almanac and I guess the sun is supposed to set at 7:29 that night) but of course, we'll keep you updated.

Well I’m tired. Morgan is still working away on the layout, but I’m going to try to get him to take a break so we can watch “Lost.”

Hope everyone is doing well!

Love,
Jill
xoxo
