26 Weeks
It’s been a busy day! Morgan and I got up early and headed to midtown to meet with our financial advisor, Brian Boder. We talked about some life insurance options and made an appointment for both of us to get a physical exam so we are covered in case anything should happen to either of us. After that, I headed uptown to Dr. Kim’s office for my glucose test. For those of you who don’t know what that entails, I had to drink a bottle of this nasty orange sugar liquid then wait an hour and then have blood drawn to see if my body is handling sugar properly. I won’t know the results until next week, but if I “failed” I have to go back for a three-hour test where they will determine whether or not I have gestational diabetes. Let’s pray that I did well on this test because I don’t want any more blood drawn.
For the next two months I’ll have to go to the doctor’s office once every two weeks and I’ll start seeing the other doctors. As I made my next five appointments I realized that it’s almost March already! Sometimes it feels like I've been pregnant forever and other times I can't believe how close I am to actually delivering this little girl.
I made my way home and was thrilled to see that the crib bedding we ordered finally arrived. Here's a photo so you all can see what the baby’s crib will eventually look like:

Now all we have to do is find the crib and choose the color that we’ll paint our bedroom so everything ties together.
Things are moving along!
Love,
Jill
UPDATE: The results are in - my sugar levels are good and I don't have gestational diabetes. Yay!
