Tasty!

What a fantastic weekend. We got to spend time with my parents, Tate, Kyung, Aunt Kathy, Aunt Amy, Michael, Lynn, the O’Connells and we even got to have dinner with Jordan! Morgan and I did a lot of wedding tasks as well so here’s your jillandmorgan.com update:

First, we met up with Sue at the Rensselaerville Institute Saturday afternoon. We discussed some more details about the wedding weekend and then we got to go through all the rooms again and take detailed notes and pictures so it will be a bit easier for us to make up the room lists as the wedding date gets closer. At about 5:00 my parents and Nancy and Steve Mormando arrived and we all headed to the Carriage House Restaurant for our tasting! It was so wonderful. We were the only people in the restaurant along with Joe, the executive chef and Jen, the head waitress. There was one table set up just for us with a personalized menu at each setting with a sampling of the hors d’oeuvres, entrees and side dishes we had requested. From the first chicken skewer to the last ravioli, we were all in heaven! Joe and Jen answered all our questions about the food and wine as it was brought out and then at the end of the meal Joe sat with us and went over every detail of the menus for our wedding weekend. We felt so special! The food was amazing. I’m looking forward to each and every meal throughout the weekend.

On Sunday Mom made a huge eggplant parmesan dinner in honor of Jordan’s 22nd birthday. More incredible food! Afterwards, we had a cake made by Dawn, the baker who will make our wedding cake. We had the vanilla cake with cannoli filling and buttercream frosting – HOLY CANNOLI! (Yes, that was cheesy, but I had to do it.) The cake was delicious so we’ll definitely be going with that flavor for one of the tiers on our wedding cake. YUM.

Morgan headed back to the city on Monday morning but I stayed for bridesmaid dress shopping with Mom and Nancy. We went to four stores in Latham and Albany. Somehow, despite consistently laughing all day, we managed to try on a few nice dresses that I think have potential.

So that’s the latest wedding update. Our next big task will be to pick out invitations and figure out what kind of music we’ll want for the ceremony.

I hope you’re all doing well. Please always feel free to call or email if you have any questions or comments.

I’ll post again soon!

Love,
Jill

PS-I think it’s about time Morgan wrote another post. Do any of you agree?
